| The largest and the wealthiest of the Five Great Shinobi Nations. The terrain is mostly plains, with few mountains and rivers, but many forests. The country's soft climate is the main reason for its prosperity, as harvests can be collected twice a year, and natural disasters are rare. The borders of the Country of Fire are guarded safe by a large army, and the many shinobi from Konohagakure no Sato.

| The water country is home to the village of Kirigakure. It is a place of ports, and islands, making the primary focus of the shinobi the element of Suiton. Due it being composed of many islands the culture of the water country varies from place to place, making a diverse land with very little in the way of monotony. It's history is one of blood, having to endure many attacks and civil wars, but through it the people of the land remain strong and proud. it should be noted though that many missing ninja end up coming from Kirigakure, the reasons aren't really known, but the facts are all there.

| Over ninety-five percent of this country is occupied by a huge desert. The human settlements are located around the rare oasises and on the border with the Forest Country. Somewhere deep in the desert Sunagakure no Sato is hidden. Populated by a hardy folk and good old fashioned sandstorms the wind country is not a place for tourists who don't wish for a tan.

| The Land of Lightning and is one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations that contains the hidden village of Kumogakure. It is composed of numerous mountain ranges. It is located on a high mountain, literally hidden in the clouds. The leader of the village is known as the Raikage. Located in the northeast, the Country of Lightning is mostly a mountainous area; it shares one border with an unknown country, while the rest of the country is marked by a long coast line. It is one of the Five Great Countries, and in the central-west side of the country lies one of the more powerful ninja villages, the Village Hidden in the Clouds, itself situated in the mountains among the clouds.

| The Land of Earth consist primarily of a barren wasteland, not heat scarred, not frost scarred. In this place the soil is infertile to the point where trees are treasured. The people of this land live in strict conditions and are all ruled under the iron fist of the Tsuchikage. This land's history has yet to completely understood, but deep within is Iwagakure, the village hidden in the stone, in one of the few mountains that stand. This is the most militaristic Country there is.
